Live food:
Live food can be hard to get a hold of but it is worth the trouble to feed your fishes live food every once in a while when you see how the living food triggers hunting and feeding instincts in your fishes that you wont be able to observe if you dont feed them with live food.

Its up to you to decide what kinds of food you wont to give your fishes but we strongly recommend feeding your fishes a diversified diet, and if you move on to less hardy fishes a diversified diet will become a necessity.

Never feed your fishes more then they can eat in two minutes. If there is food left on the bottom after the feeding you should remove it to keep the water clean. Feed adult fishes 1-2 times a day and young fishes 3-4 times a day. Adult fishes are benefited by a day without food every now and then.
